• ½ cup milk (dairy, oat, or almond)
• 2 tbsp brown sugar (or maple syrup)
• 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil (optional, for richness)
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• ¼ tsp cinnamon
• Pinch of nutmeg and salt
• Whipped cream (for topping)
• Chopped pecans (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine coffee, milk, brown sugar, butter (if using), vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Warm gently, stirring until sugar dissolves and mixture is hot (do not boil).
- Pour into a mug. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of chopped pecans.
- Serve immediately while warm and fragrant!
