– Powdered sugar (glaze, optional) — 1 cup 🍬
– Hot water (glaze) — 2-3 tbsp 💧
Instructions
1 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch pan 🧯
2 Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl 🥣
3 Cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy 🧈
4 Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla 🌿
5 Alternate adding dry mix and sour cream (start and end with dry) and mix until just combined 🥛
6 In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter for the swirl 🟤🍂
7 Pour half the batter into the pan, spread swirl mixture over it, then top with remaining batter and swirl gently with a knife 🔪
8 Bake 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and top is golden ⏲️
9 Let cool 10 minutes, whisk powdered sugar with hot water for glaze if using, drizzle over cake and slice to serve 🍰
