Apple Cinnamon Rolls: The Perfect Cozy Fall Treat

Ingredients

• 3 cups all-purpose flour • ¼ cup sugar • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast • ½ tsp salt • ½ cup milk • ¼ cup butter, melted • 1 egg • 1 tsp vanilla extract

FOR FILLING: • 2 apples, peeled and diced • ¼ cup brown sugar • 2 tbsp butter, softened • 2 tbsp cinnamon • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

FOR GLAZE: • 1 cup powdered sugar • 2-3 tbsp milk • ½ tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in large bowl
  2. In separate bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, mix until dough forms
  4. Knead 5-7 minutes until smooth
  5. Place in greased bowl, cover, rise 1 hour
  6. Roll dough into 12×16 inch rectangle
  7. Spread softened butter over dough
  8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over butter
  9. Add diced apples and walnuts
  10. Roll up from long side, pinch seam to seal
  11. Cut into 12 rolls, place in greased 9×13 pan
  12. Cover and rise 30 minutes
  13. Preheat oven to 375°F
  14. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden
  15. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth
  16. Drizzle over warm rolls
