Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour • 1 tbsp baking powder • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp salt • 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed • ¾ cup milk • 2 apples, peeled and diced • ¼ cup brown sugar • 2 tbsp butter, melted • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp nutmeg • 1 tbsp flour for apples • 2 tbsp coarse sugar for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Whisk together 2 cups flour, baking powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, and salt
  4. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  5. Add milk and stir until just combined
  6. Turn dough onto floured surface, knead gently
  7. Roll dough into 12-inch circle, ½ inch thick
  8. Mix diced apples with brown sugar, 1 tbsp flour, and spices
  9. Drop apple mixture by tablespoons onto dough
  10. Fold dough over filling to form triangles
  11. Place on baking sheet, brush with melted butter
  12. Sprinkle with coarse sugar
  13. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown
  14. Serve warm
