INGREDIENTS: 1 ½ cups granulated sugar, 1 cup sour cream, ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick, room temperature), 2 large eggs (room temperature), 3 ripe bananas (mashed), 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, ¾ teaspoon salt, ½ cup walnuts (finely chopped)
½ cup unsalted butter, 3 cups powdered sugar, 1 ½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. In a bowl, mix sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until smooth. Add bananas and vanilla, mixing well.
3. Gradually add flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until combined. Fold in walnuts.
4. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 20-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly.
5. For frosting, melt butter until brown, then mix in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Frost cooled brownies, let set, then cut into squares and serve.
