Ingredients
• 4 lbs apples, peeled and chopped • 2 cups granulated sugar • 1 cup brown sugar • ½ cup caramel sauce • 2 tbsp lemon juice • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp nutmeg • ¼ tsp cloves • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 packet (1.75oz) powdered pectin
Instructions
- Combine apples, sugars, and caramel sauce in large pot
- Add lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves
- Bring mixture to boil over medium-high heat
- Stir in pectin and return to boil
- Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
- Skim foam from surface
- Ladle into hot sterilized jars
- Process in water bath for 10 minutes
- Cool and store in refrigerator
- Keeps for up to 3 weeks
