Caramel-Drizzled Apple Cinnamon Cookies: Soft, Chewy Fall Treats with a Gooey Sweet Finish

Ingredients

• 2½ cups all-purpose flour • 1 tsp baking soda • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp nutmeg • ¼ tsp salt • 1 cup butter, softened • 1 cup brown sugar • ½ cup granulated sugar • 2 eggs • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 cup apples, peeled and diced • ½ cup caramel bits

FOR CARAMEL DRIZZLE: • ½ cup caramel sauce • 1 tbsp milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt
  4. Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy
  5. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well
  6. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients
  7. Fold in diced apples and caramel bits
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets
  9. Bake 12-15 minutes until edges are golden
  10. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes
  11. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely
  12. Mix caramel sauce and milk for drizzle
  13. Drizzle over cooled cookies
  14. Let drizzle set before serving
