Caramel Frosting: Rich, Buttery, and Perfectly Sweet

Ingredients

• ½ cup granulated sugar • ¼ cup water • 4 tbsp butter, cubed • ¼ cup heavy cream • 1 tsp vanilla extract • Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. In small saucepan, combine sugar and water
  2. Heat over medium heat without stirring until sugar dissolves
  3. Continue heating until mixture turns amber color
  4. Remove from heat immediately
  5. Carefully whisk in butter, one piece at a time
  6. Slowly pour in heavy cream while whisking
  7. Return to low heat, whisk until smooth
  8. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt
  9. Let cool 10-15 minutes until spreadable
  10. Use immediately or store in refrigerator
  11. Reheat gently if needed before using
