Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch pan or line with parchment paper.
- Make the brownie base: In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Mix in cocoa, flour, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Make the swirl: In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour brownie batter into the pan and spread evenly. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture on top.
- Use a knife to gently swirl through the batter—don’t overmix!
