Flaky, buttery pastries with sweet cream cheese and cherry filling!


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp maple syrup or honey

½ tsp vanilla extract

½ cup cherry pie filling or fresh pitted cherries

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar + 1 tbsp milk


Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mix cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.

Cut puff pastry into 4–6 squares. Spread cream cheese mixture in the center of each.

Top with 1–2 tablespoons of cherry filling. Fold or twist edges slightly to form a border.

Brush pastry edges with beaten egg.

Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden and puffy.

Cool slightly and drizzle with glaze if desired.
