Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Make the filling: In a bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Spread evenly in the dish.
- Make the topping: In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
- Bake 30–35 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden and crisp.
