Ingredients
1 cup oat flour (or grind rolled oats in a food processor)
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
½ cup applesauce (unsweetened or homemade)
¼ cup maple syrup or honey (or ⅓ cup powdered erythritol for low-carb option)
2 tbsp melted coconut oil or butter
½ tsp vanilla extract
Optional: crushed nuts or cacao nibs for topping
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix oat flour , cinnamon , nutmeg , baking soda , and salt .
In another bowl, whisk applesauce , sweetener , melted oil , and vanilla until smooth.
Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry until well combined.
Scoop small balls of dough onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly with your palm or a spatula.
Optional: Press crushed walnuts or pecans around the edges for extra crunch.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and firm around the edges.
Let cool completely before serving for that perfect crispy texture!
