Crockpot Christmas Candy

Ingredients

• 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
• ½ cup creamy peanut butter (or sunflower seed butter)
• ¼ cup butter or coconut oil
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
• 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts, optional)
• Holiday sprinkles (optional, for color)


Instructions

  1. In a 2–3 quart slow cooker, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours, stirring once halfway through, until smooth and melted.
  3. Stir in vanilla and mini marshmallows. Cook uncovered 15–20 minutes more, until marshmallows are melted and blended.
  4. Fold in chopped nuts and sprinkles if using.
  5. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper. Pour mixture into the pan and spread evenly.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours, until firm.
  7. Lift out using the parchment and cut into small squares.
