Ingredients
• 2 cups all-purpose flour • ¾ cup cocoa powder • 1 tsp baking soda • ½ tsp salt • 1 cup butter, softened • 1½ cups granulated sugar • 2 eggs • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 1 cup dark chocolate chips • Orange and black food coloring • Halloween sprinkles • Candy eyeballs • Orange and black decorating gel
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs and vanilla, beat well
- Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients
- Fold in dark chocolate chips
- Drop rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets
- Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are set
- Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes
- Transfer to wire racks to cool completely
- Divide some cookies and color with food coloring
- Decorate cookies with sprinkles and candy eyeballs
- Use decorating gel to create spooky designs
- Let decorations set before serving
