Easy Halloween Popcorn

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

• 8 cups popped popcorn (air-popped or stovetop)
• 1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil
• 1/3 cup mini marshmallows
• 1/4 cup Halloween M&Ms, candy corn, or chocolate chips
• 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds (pepitas – for a “guts” touch)
• 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional, for fall flavor)
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
• Optional: orange and black food-safe spray or gel for coloring

Instructions

  1. Place popped popcorn in a large bowl. Remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in marshmallows and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Optional: Add a drop of orange or black food coloring for a spooky hue.
  4. Pour warm marshmallow mixture over popcorn. Gently toss to coat.
  5. Immediately add M&Ms, pumpkin seeds, and pumpkin spice (if using). Mix well.
  6. Spread mixture onto a parchment-lined tray or large plate.
  7. Let cool 10–15 minutes until slightly set (don’t chill—keeps it crunchy!).
  8. Break into clusters and serve in themed bowls or treat bags!

Great for movie nights, trick-or-treat goody bags, or classroom treats!
