Ingredients
• 6 cups rice cereal (crisp rice, gluten-free if needed)
• 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
• 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows (or mini vegan marshmallows)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional, for “monster” flavor)
• 2–3 drops red or pink food gel (or natural berry powder for coloring)
• Halloween sprinkles (orange, black, or white)
• Optional: Candy eyes, crushed freeze-dried strawberries for extra “berry” flavor
Instructions
- Line a baking pan (9×9 inch) with parchment paper or grease lightly.
- In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, almond extract (if using), and food coloring until vibrant pink or red.
- Fold in rice cereal until completely coated—don’t crush!
- Quickly mix in a handful of Halloween sprinkles or crushed berries.
- Press mixture firmly into the pan using a greased spatula or wax paper.
- Optional: Press candy eyes or more sprinkles on top for a “Franken” look.
- Let cool 15–20 minutes until set. Cut into squares or spooky shapes.
