Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches: Crispy, Creamy, and Irresistibly Decadent

Ingredients

• 8 (3½”-round) slices brioche or challah bread
• 1 cup (225g) cream cheese, softened
• ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ cup (75g) fresh strawberries, finely diced + 1 tbsp honey (for filling)
• 2 large eggs
• ¼ cup (60ml) milk
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour (for dredging)
• Oil for frying (avocado, canola, or coconut)
• Extra powdered sugar & sliced strawberries (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Cheesecake filling: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries mixed with honey. Chill 15 min.
  2. Assemble sandwiches: Spread 2 tbsp filling on 4 bread slices; top with remaining slices. Press gently to seal.
  3. Dredge: Whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Place flour in another. Dip each sandwich in flour → egg mix → flour again (double coat = extra crisp!).
  4. Heat ½” oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry sandwiches 2–3 min per side until deep golden and crisp. Drain on a wire rack.
  5. Dust generously with powdered sugar. Serve warm with extra berries—filling will be molten!
