Ingredients

• 6 cups crisp rice cereal (gluten-free if needed)
• 1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
• 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows (or vegan marshmallows)
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• Orange, purple, or black food-safe gel (optional)
• Halloween sprinkles (worms, bats, ghosts, candy eyes)
• Optional: 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or crushed pretzels for “dirt”


Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. In a large pot over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and food coloring (if using) until vibrant and well blended.
  4. Fold in crisp rice cereal until completely coated—don’t crush!
  5. Mix in sprinkles, chocolate chips, or crushed pretzels for extra fun.
  6. Press mixture firmly into the pan using a greased spatula or wax paper.
  7. Let cool 15–20 minutes until set. Cut into squares or use Halloween-shaped cutters for spooky shapes!
  8. Serve as-is or decorate with candy eyes, icing details, or drizzled chocolate.
