Ingredients
• 8 cups popped popcorn (plain, unsalted) • ½ cup butter • ¼ cup light corn syrup • ½ cup brown sugar • ¼ tsp salt • ½ tsp vanilla extract • Orange and black food coloring • Candy corn • Chocolate chips • Halloween sprinkles • ¼ cup chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Pop corn and remove any unpopped kernels
- Place popcorn in large bowl
- In medium saucepan, combine butter, corn syrup, and brown sugar
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly
- Bring to boil and cook 5 minutes without stirring
- Remove from heat and stir in salt and vanilla
- Pour syrup over popcorn and toss to coat
- Divide popcorn into portions
- Add orange and black food coloring to some portions
- Add candy corn, chocolate chips, and sprinkles
- Toss gently to distribute decorations
- Add chopped peanuts to some batches
- Spread on baking sheets to cool
- Store in airtight containers
