Ingredients

1 (15 oz) can pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie mix)

½ cup apple cider or juice

½ cup brown sugar (adjust to taste)

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

¼ tsp ground ginger

⅛ tsp ground cloves

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt


Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except vanilla.

Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until it begins to bubble.

Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thick and glossy.

Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and let cool.

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
