INGREDIENTS: 3 cups granulated sugar, 3/4 cup light corn syrup, 3/4 cup water, 1/8 tsp salt, 2 egg whites (room temperature), 3 tbsp Jello powder (flavor of your choice), 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
Line 2 large baking sheets with waxed paper and butter two large spoons. In a saucepan, boil sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt until it reaches 250°F. While boiling, whisk egg whites until stiff peaks form, then blend in Jell-O. Slowly pour syrup into egg mixture while mixing. Beat until it holds shape, then mix in nuts. Spoon onto waxed paper and let cool for at least 4 hours.
