Peeps Sugar Cookie Bars: A Festive Easter Dessert That’s Sweet and Simple

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS:
🍪 16.5 oz tube of sugar cookie dough (about 470 g)
🐥 8 Peeps (more or less as desired)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare an 8×8 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
3. Separate the cookie dough in half and press one half into the bottom of the dish.
4. Add Peeps in various colors on top.
5. Use the remaining cookie dough in chunks over the Peeps.
6. Bake for 8 minutes.
7. Remove from oven, gently mix melted Peeps without pushing down.
8. Return to oven and bake for another 12 minutes until golden.
9. Let cool, then refrigerate for about an hour.
10. Cut into square bars with a butter knife coated in non-stick spray.
