Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh pomegranate arils (seeds)
  • 200g (7 oz) high-quality dark chocolate (70–85% cocoa recommended)

Optional Toppings

  • Flaky sea salt
  • Crushed pistachios
  • Shredded coconut
  • White chocolate drizzle

How to Make Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bites

Step 1: Prepare the Pomegranate

Remove the seeds from a fresh pomegranate and pat them completely dry with paper towels. This prevents the chocolate from seizing.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

Melt chopped dark chocolate using one of these methods:

  • Double boiler: Stir gently over simmering water until smooth.
  • Microwave: Heat in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each.

Do not overheat.

Step 3: Mix

Gently fold the dried pomegranate seeds into the melted chocolate until evenly coated.

Step 4: Shape

Spoon small clusters onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or into mini cupcake liners.

Step 5: Chill

Refrigerate for 15–25 minutes until firm.

Add sea salt or toppings before the chocolate fully sets.

Health Benefits

Both ingredients are known for their nutritional value:

  • Pomegranate: High in antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber
  • Dark Chocolate (70%+): Contains flavonoids, magnesium, and iron

Together, they create a treat that’s more nutrient-dense than most traditional desserts.

Flavor Variations

Want to customize your bites? Try these ideas:

  • White Chocolate Version – Sweeter and creamier
  • Nutty Clusters – Add almonds or pistachios
  • Spiced Chocolate – Add a pinch of cinnamon or chili
  • Chocolate Bark Style – Spread thin and break into pieces

Storage Tips

Because pomegranate contains moisture:

  • Store in an airtight container
  • Keep refrigerated
  • Best enjoyed within 3–4 days

You can freeze them for up to 1 month if needed.

Serving Ideas

Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bites are perfect for:

  • Holiday dessert boards
  • Valentine’s Day treats
  • Party platters
  • Healthy snack boxes
  • Edible gifts

Their bright red color against dark chocolate makes them especially festive.

Description

Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bites

Treat yourself to Pomegranate Dark Chocolate Bites: jewel-like pomegranate seeds, rich dark chocolate and a hint of orange. Quick to make, elegant to serve — perfect for snacks or parties!

Ingredients

– 200 g dark chocolate (70% cacao) 🍫

– 2 tbsp coconut oil 🥥

– 1 cup pomegranate arils (about 150 g) 🍒

– 2 tbsp chopped pistachios or almonds 🥜

– 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey 🍯

– Zest of 1 orange 🍊

– Pinch of sea salt 🧂

– Mini paper liners or silicone mold (optional) 🧁

Instructions
