  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
• ¼ cup pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
• 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, whisking constantly until sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and salt (if using).
  5. Let cool 10 minutes, then strain through a fine-mesh sieve for a silky texture.
  6. Transfer to a clean glass bottle or jar. Cool completely before sealing.

💡 Storage: Refrigerate up to 2 weeks. Shake gently before each use—natural separation may occur.
