Red Velvet Brownies: Fudgy, Festive, and Unforgettable

Ingredients

• 1 cup all-purpose flour • ¼ cup cocoa powder • ½ cup butter, melted • 1 cup granulated sugar • 2 eggs • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 2 oz red food coloring • ½ tsp salt • ½ cup cream cheese, softened • 2 tbsp sugar • 1 egg yolk • ½ tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Grease 8×8 inch baking pan
  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt
  4. In separate bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar
  5. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring
  6. Gradually add flour mixture
  7. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth
  8. Add egg yolk and vanilla to cream cheese
  9. Pour brownie batter into pan
  10. Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture on top
  11. Use knife to swirl patterns
  12. Bake 25-30 minutes until set
  13. Cool completely before cutting
  14. Store covered at room temperature
