Ingredients

INGREDIENTS:
🧁 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (160g)
🧁 4 tsp cocoa powder (10g)
🧁 1/2 tsp baking soda (2g)
🧁 1/4 tsp baking powder (1g)
🧁 1/4 tsp salt (1g)
🧁 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (113g)
🧁 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
🧁 1/4 cup packed brown sugar (50g)
🧁 1 large egg
🧁 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (2.5ml)
🧁 1 tsp white vinegar (5ml)
🧁 2 tsp red gel food coloring (10ml)
🧁 Cream Cheese Frosting:
🧁 6 oz cream cheese, softened (170g)
🧁 1 cup powdered sugar (120g)
🧁 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until combined.
3. Beat in egg, vanilla, white vinegar, and red food coloring until creamy.
4. Slowly add flour mixture and beat until just combined.
5. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-3 hours until dough is firm.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
7. Scoop dough into 1 1/2 Tbsp balls and place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart.
8. Bake one sheet at a time until edges are set but centers are slightly under-baked, about 11-12 minutes.
9. Remove cookies from the oven and let cool completely.
10. For frosting, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
11. Once cookies are cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting. Enjoy!
