Ingredients

☕ 1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
🍫 1/2 cup unsweetened natural cocoa powder
🍬 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
🥛 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream
🌿 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
🧈 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
🍚 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
🥚 2 eggs
🌾 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
🧂 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
🧂 1 teaspoon table salt
🍫 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
🥛 1/2 cup heavy cream


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-inch round cake pan and line with parchment.
2. In a bowl, mix hot coffee and cocoa until dissolved. Add brown sugar, sour cream, and vanilla; stir well.
3. Beat butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and mix for 2 minutes.
4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix in flour and coffee mixtures alternately. Fold until combined.
5. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 50 minutes, rotating halfway. Cool for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
6. For ganache, heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, and mix until smooth. Pour over cooled cake and let set for 15 minutes. Slice and serve!
