Sheet Pan Caramel Apples: An Easy Twist on a Classic Fall Treat

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

• 4 medium apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and cut into 1-inch chunks
• ½ cup store-bought or homemade caramel sauce (warmed)
• 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
• Pinch of salt
• Optional toppings:
• Chopped pecans or walnuts
• Mini chocolate chips
• Crushed graham crackers
• Sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, toss apple chunks with warmed caramel sauce, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until evenly coated.
  3. Spread apples in a single layer on the prepared sheet.
  4. Roast 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until apples are tender and caramel is bubbly and slightly set.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with your favorite toppings while still warm and sticky.
  6. Let cool 5–10 minutes—the caramel will firm up slightly as it cools.
  7. Serve warm with toothpicks for easy grabbing!

Perfect for:
• Fall parties & Halloween gatherings
• School events or classroom treats
• DIY dessert bars with topping stations

💡 Make ahead: Reheat gently in the oven or microwave before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
