For the crust:

  • 1½ cups (150g) graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tbsp (¾ stick / 85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

For the filling:

  • 1½ cups (270g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • Optional: ½ tsp vanilla extract

For the topping:

  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • Optional: extra graham cracker crumbs or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

Option 1: No-Bake (Softer, Gooier Bars)

  1. Crust: Mix graham crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into bottom of a greased 8×8″ pan. Chill 10 min.
  2. Filling: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave in 30-sec intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in vanilla (if using). Pour over crust; spread evenly.
  3. Topping: Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over warm chocolate. Let sit 5–10 min to soften (or use a kitchen torch to lightly toast).
  4. Chill at least 2 hours before slicing.

Option 2: Lightly Baked (Toasted Marshmallow Finish)

  1. Prepare crust and filling as above.
  2. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes just until marshmallows puff and edges are golden.
  3. Cool completely, then chill 1 hour before cutting.
