Ingredients
Scale
For the loaf:
- 1½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup (1 stick / 115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- ½ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped salted roasted pistachios
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
Optional glaze (like Starbucks):
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5″ loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Make batter: In a large bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in dry ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in mix-ins: Gently stir in pistachios and chocolate chips.
- Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean (a few crumbs are fine).
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Glaze (optional): Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled loaf.
💡 Pro Tips:
– Use salted roasted pistachios for authentic Starbucks flavor—unsalted will taste flat.
– For extra richness, use 70% dark chocolate.
– Store wrapped at room temp up to 3 days or freeze for longer freshness.
