🍔 Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

• 8–10 egg roll wrappers (or spring roll skins)
• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• ½ cup diced onion
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 tbsp ketchup
• 1 tbsp yellow mustard
• 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt & pepper to taste
• Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
• Optional: lettuce, tomato, or extra condiments for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes more. Let cool slightly.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface like a diamond. Place 1 tbsp of the beef mixture in the center, then top with 1 tsp cheddar.
  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the left and right corners. Roll up tightly, sealing the top edge with a dab of water.
  5. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  6. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pot or fryer. Fry 2–3 rolls at a time, 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce—and optional lettuce or tomato slices on the side!
