Ingredients
• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• 1 small onion, finely diced
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 tbsp ketchup
• 1 tbsp yellow mustard
• 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pie crust cut into circles)
• 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes more. Let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate crescent dough into triangles (or roll out pie crust and cut into 6-inch circles).
- Spoon filling onto the wide end of each triangle (or center of circle). Sprinkle with cheddar.
- Fold dough over:
→ For triangles: Roll up from wide end, sealing edges.
→ For circles: Fold over and crimp with a fork. - Place on the baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg for golden shine (optional).
- Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra ketchup or mustard for dipping!
