🍔 Cheeseburger Pockets

Ingredients

• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• 1 small onion, finely diced
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 2 tbsp ketchup
• 1 tbsp yellow mustard
• 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pie crust cut into circles)
• 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in ketchup, mustard, relish, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes more. Let cool slightly.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Separate crescent dough into triangles (or roll out pie crust and cut into 6-inch circles).
  5. Spoon filling onto the wide end of each triangle (or center of circle). Sprinkle with cheddar.
  6. Fold dough over:
    → For triangles: Roll up from wide end, sealing edges.
    → For circles: Fold over and crimp with a fork.
  7. Place on the baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg for golden shine (optional).
  8. Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with extra ketchup or mustard for dipping!
