Ingredients
• 2 lbs beef round steak, sliced thin • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced • 1 onion, sliced • 2 cups beef broth • 2 tbsp butter • 2 tbsp flour • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 tsp onion powder • ½ tsp black pepper • 2 tbsp vegetable oil • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped • Salt to taste
Instructions
- Season steak slices with salt and pepper
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet over medium-high heat
- Brown steak slices in batches, 2-3 minutes per side
- Remove steak and set aside
- Add remaining oil to skillet
- Sauté mushrooms and onion until tender
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables, stir well
- Gradually add beef broth, whisking constantly
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper
- Bring to boil, then reduce heat
- Simmer 10 minutes until gravy thickens
- Return steak to skillet
- Cover and simmer 15-20 minutes until tender
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving
