Description
A hearty, comforting soup that tastes just like a classic cabbage roll!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef or turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
4 cups beef or chicken broth
1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
1 cup cooked rice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large pot, brown ground beef (or turkey) with chopped onion and garlic over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Bring to a simmer.
Add chopped cabbage, cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and basil. Stir to combine.
Cover and simmer for 30–40 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and enjoy!
