Caribbean Jerk Peach Hot Sauce: Sweet, Spicy, and Bold

Ingredients

• 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped • 2 habanero peppers, seeded and minced • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 onion, diced • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar • 2 tbsp brown sugar • 1 tbsp jerk seasoning • 1 tsp ginger, grated • 1 tsp lime juice • ½ tsp allspice • ¼ tsp cinnamon • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. In large saucepan, combine peaches, habaneros, jalapeño, and onion
  2. Add garlic, ginger, and all spices
  3. Pour in apple cider vinegar and lime juice
  4. Stir in brown sugar
  5. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat
  6. Reduce heat and simmer 20-25 minutes until peaches break down
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly
  8. Puree mixture in blender until smooth
  9. Strain through fine mesh sieve if desired for smoother sauce
  10. Season with salt to taste
  11. Transfer to sterilized bottles
  12. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks
  13. Shake well before serving
