Layers of tender potatoes, savory beef, and melty cheese—so satisfying!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
3 cups thinly sliced potatoes (about 3–4 medium)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cheddar soup
½ cup milk
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions until browned. Drain any excess grease.
In a small bowl, mix soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Layer half the potatoes in the baking dish, then spread half the beef mixture over them.
Pour half the soup mixture over the beef, then sprinkle half the cheese.
Repeat the layers with remaining potatoes, beef, soup, and cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 50–55 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 more minutes to brown the top.
