Classic Chicken Francese – The Perfect Italian-American Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts • 1 cup all-purpose flour • 4 eggs • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese • ½ cup butter • ¼ cup olive oil • ½ cup dry white wine • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped • 2 cloves garlic, minced • Salt and pepper to taste • Lemon slices for garnish


Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound thin
  2. Season with salt and pepper
  3. Whisk eggs and Parmesan cheese in shallow dish
  4. Place flour in separate shallow dish
  5. Dredge chicken in flour, then dip in egg mixture
  6. Heat butter and olive oil in large skillet
  7. Cook chicken 3-4 minutes per side until golden
  8. Remove chicken and set aside
  9. Add garlic to skillet, cook 30 seconds
  10. Add white wine and lemon juice
  11. Simmer 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced
  12. Return chicken to skillet
  13. Cook 2 minutes until heated through
  14. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices
