Ingredients
• 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts • ½ cup soy sauce • ¼ cup honey • ¼ cup brown sugar • 2 tbsp rice vinegar • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced • 2 tbsp cornstarch • 3 tbsp water • 2 green onions, sliced • 1 tbsp sesame oil • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Place chicken in 4-quart slow cooker
- In bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and rice vinegar
- Add garlic and ginger to sauce
- Pour sauce over chicken
- Cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours
- Remove chicken and shred with two forks
- Skim excess fat from sauce
- Mix cornstarch with water
- Stir cornstarch mixture into sauce
- Cook on high 15 minutes until thickened
- Return chicken to sauce, stir to coat
- Serve over rice
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
- Drizzle with sesame oil
