Crockpot Pizza Burgers: The Ultimate Slow Cooker Comfort Meal

Ingredients

• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
• 1 egg
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
• ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• ½ cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
• 4 soft burger buns (or rolls)
• Optional: sautéed mushrooms or onions


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 patties.
  2. Place patties in the slow cooker. Spoon marinara sauce over the top.
  3. Sprinkle with ¾ cup mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni (if using).
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until burgers are cooked through and sauce is bubbly.
  5. Stir in remaining ¼ cup mozzarella during the last 15 minutes to melt.
  6. Toast buns lightly if desired.
  7. Serve each patty on a bun, spooning extra sauce and cheese on top.

Great with a side of garlic fries or a crisp green salad!

💡 Make it vegetarian: Use plant-based patties and vegan cheese.
