Ingredients

1 medium head green cabbage, chopped

4 slices bacon, chopped (or 2 tbsp oil for meatless)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp butter (optional for extra richness)


Instructions

In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.

In the bacon drippings (or oil), sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook 1 minute.

Add chopped cabbage, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir to coat.

Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and slightly browned (10–12 minutes).

Stir in cooked bacon and a pat of butter, if desired. Serve hot!
