Ingredients
2 cups cooked shredded or diced chicken
12 oz pasta (penne or rotini), cooked and drained
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
½ cup heavy cream (optional for extra creaminess)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Whisk in flour and cook 1 more minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cream.
Stir in Parmesan, 1 cup mozzarella, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until thick and creamy.
Combine cooked pasta, chicken, and sauce in a large bowl. Mix well.
Pour mixture into baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley if desired.
