Ingredients
• 1 lb linguine or spaghetti • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined • 6 cloves garlic, minced • ½ cup butter • ¼ cup olive oil • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped • 1 tsp red pepper flakes • ½ tsp salt • ¼ tsp black pepper • ¼ cup white wine (optional) • 1 lemon, juiced • Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions
- Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining
- Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in large skillet
- Add shrimp and cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink
- Remove shrimp and set aside
- Add remaining butter to skillet
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook 1 minute
- Add white wine if using, cook until reduced
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat
- Add reserved pasta water as needed
- Return shrimp to skillet
- Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper
- Toss with fresh herbs
- Serve with Parmesan cheese
