Halloween Pizza Skulls – Spooky, Cheesy, and Scarily Delicious!

  • Author: WAFA LI

Ingredients

• 1 sheet refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll dough (thawed)
• ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
• Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, black olives, green peppers

For the skull faces:
• Black olives (for eyes and mouth)
• Small pepperoni or round veggies (optional, for detail)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out dough on a floured surface. Use a knife or small cutter to cut into 4-inch circles (use a bowl as a guide).
  3. Place circles on the baking sheet. Spread each with 1 tsp sauce and sprinkle with mozzarella (leave space for facial features).
  4. Create the skull face:
→ Cut 2 small slits or use olive halves for eye sockets
→ Cut a small triangle or use an olive slice for the nose
→ Cut a curved line or use a long olive piece for the smile
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly. Use extra olive pieces or pepperoni to enhance the skull details if desired.

Serve warm with extra marinara for dipping—great for school events, parties, or spooky movie nights!

💡 Make it fun: Let kids decorate their own skulls with safe-for-eating “features”!
