Ingredients
• 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
• ½ cup dried cranberries, chopped
• 1 tsp fresh sage, minced (or ½ tsp dried)
• ½ tsp thyme
• ¼ tsp cinnamon
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (or crescent dough)
• 1 egg (for egg wash)
• Optional: black food-safe gel or icing for “stitches” or eyes
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground turkey until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cranberries, sage, thyme, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes more. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6–8 rectangles (or use pre-cut crescent triangles).
- Spoon filling down the center of each piece. Fold dough over to enclose the filling.
- For a spooky look, shape rolls into mummy-like logs or pinch ends to resemble little ghosts.
- Place on baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush with beaten egg for golden shine.
- Bake 20–25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Optional haunting touch: Use black icing or food-safe gel to draw stitches, eyes, or spiderwebs for Halloween flair!
✨ Serve warm as party starters, game-day bites, or Thanksgiving appetizers!
💡 Make it festive: Add a dollop of cranberry sauce on the side for dipping.
