Hearty Cheeseburger Pasta Bake – A Family Favorite Comfort Dish

Ingredients

• 8 oz elbow macaroni or penne (or gluten-free pasta)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• ½ cup diced onion
• 1 lb (450g) ground beef
• ½ cup ketchup
• 2 tbsp yellow mustard
• 2 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
• ½ cup chopped dill pickles
• Optional: ¼ cup sliced green onions or crispy bacon bits


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil. Sauté onion 4–5 minutes until soft.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, relish, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cooked pasta, 1 cup cheddar, and chopped pickles. Mix well.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×9-inch or 2-quart baking dish. Top with remaining ½ cup cheese.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Let cool 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions or bacon if desired.

Great with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete comfort meal!
