Ingredients
• 12 fresh jalapeños
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened (or dairy-free alternative)
• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
• ¼ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
• 1 green onion, finely chopped
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• Salt & pepper to taste
• Optional: 1 tbsp ranch seasoning or breadcrumbs for coating
Instructions
- Prep the jalapeños: Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scrape out seeds and membranes (wear gloves if sensitive).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, green onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spoon or pipe filling into each jalapeño half.
- Choose your cooking method:
→ Baked: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place on a lined baking sheet. Bake 18–22 minutes until peppers are tender and filling is golden.
→ Air Fryer: Cook at 380°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway.
→ Grilled: Wrap in bacon (optional) and grill over medium heat 8–10 minutes, turning once. - Serve warm as an appetizer with:
• Ranch or blue cheese dressing
• Sour cream or guacamole for dipping
