A delightful blend of savory sausage, vibrant peppers, and creamy cheese!
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds Italian Sausage, sliced
1 Red Bell Pepper, sliced
1 Green Bell Pepper, sliced
1/2 Medium Onion, sliced
2 tbsp Beef Broth
1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cook the sausage in an ovenproof skillet over medium high heat on the stove until completely cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium, add the vegetables to the skillet and sauté until just becoming tender. Remove and set aside.
Drain the grease from the skillet.
Add the beef broth to the skillet to deglaze it.
Whisk in the heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
Sauté until the sauce thickens.
Stir in the parmesan cheese.
Add the meat and vegetables back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted.
