Ingredients
INGREDIENTS: Flank Steak: 1 pound
Olive Oil: 1½ tablespoons
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Black Pepper: 1 teaspoon
Onion Powder: ½ teaspoon
Garlic Powder: ¼ teaspoon
White Mushrooms: 3 ounces
Green Bell Pepper: 2¼ ounces
Provolone Cheese: 6 slices
Instructions
1. Slice steak into 4-inch strips, 1/8 inch thick. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add steak, and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
2. Brown the meat, then increase heat to high for a crispy exterior (about 12 minutes).
3. Transfer steak to a dish, leaving juices in the pan. Lower heat to medium-low, add sliced mushrooms and diced bell pepper, cooking for 3 minutes.
4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Return steak to skillet, mix with veggies. If not using an oven-safe skillet, transfer to a sprayed baking dish.
5. Arrange provolone cheese over the top and bake for 5 minutes until melted.
6. For a browned top, broil for an additional 3-4 minutes before serving.
