  • Author: WAFA LI

Description

Sausage-wrapped cheese bites with a crispy, golden crust — these keto piggies in blankets are a fun twist on pigs in a blanket, perfect for game day, parties, or a quick snack!

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz pork breakfast sausage (or ground pork)
4 oz cream cheese or goat cheese, cut into small cubes
1 cup almond flour
¼ cup coconut flour
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
2–4 tbsp water or egg whites (to bind dough)
Optional: sesame seeds or crushed pecans for topping
FOR KETO VERSION:
Use almond flour blend and avoid sweetened sausages. For dairy-free option, use vegan sausage and nut-based cheese.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix sausage meat , garlic powder , salt , and pepper until smooth.
Shape the sausage mixture around each cube of cream cheese , forming small sausage rolls.
Tip: Flatten a small piece of dough, place cheese cube in center, then roll into a ball using your hands.
In another bowl, combine almond flour , coconut flour , melted butter , and water or egg whites to form a soft dough.
Roll each sausage-wrapped cheese bite in the flour mixture to coat evenly — this helps create a crisp outer layer.
Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Optional: Brush with melted butter or sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking for extra flavor.
Serve warm with mustard, keto ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

These reheat beautifully in the air fryer! Make a double batch and freeze uncooked ones for quick snacks later. Perfect for holiday trays, potlucks, or lunch boxes. 🥩🔥
