Description

Flaky, buttery biscuits filled with sausage and cheddar — served warm with creamy keto sausage gravy. A hearty, low-carb breakfast or dinner favorite made easy!


Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

1 cup almond flour
¼ cup coconut flour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup cooked and crumbled pork breakfast sausage
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
2 tbsp heavy cream or unsweetened almond milk
1 egg (for binding)
For the Gravy:

4 oz pork breakfast sausage (or ground pork)
2 tbsp butter or ghee
2 tbsp almond flour (to keep it keto)
1½ cups unsweetened almond milk or heavy cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder or herbs for extra flavor


Instructions

Make the Biscuits:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add egg, melted butter, and cream. Stir until a thick dough forms.
Fold in sausage and cheddar cheese. Mix well.
Scoop small mounds of dough onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and firm.
Make the Gravy:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned. Leave fat in the pan.
Add butter and stir until melted.
Sprinkle in almond flour and whisk into the fat to make a roux. Cook 1–2 mins.
Gradually add almond milk or cream while whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
